ติดตั้ง sun-java6-jdk บน Ubuntu 10.10

ถ้าเราติดตั้งโดยใช้ apt-get install sun-java6-jdk จะพบว่าไม่มีแพ็คเกจนี้

Package sun-java6-jdk is not available, but is referred to by another package.
This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or
is only available from another source
E: Package sun-java6-jdk has no installation candidate

เราสามารถติดตั้งได้โดย เพิ่ม repository ไปยัง /etc/apt/sources.list ดังนี้

deb http://archive.canonical.com/ubuntu maverick partner

หรือใช้คำสั่ง

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:sun-java-community-team/sun-java6

จากนั้นสั่ง

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install sun-java6-jdk

ก็จะสามารถติดตั้ง sun-java6-jdk ได้ปกติ
